Linda Pritcher’s Little Works of Art
Linda Pritcher is an accomplished visual artist, painter, and footwear
designer whose shoes have been referred to as “little works of art.”
Inspired by fine leathers and craftsmanship of Italy, each shoe represents
a visual richness of textures combined with a chic, classic silhouette.
With degrees and training from the Rhode Island School of Design, Fashion
Institute of Technology, and Parsons School of Design, Linda worked for
many years in the fashion industry before striking out in 2006 with the launch
of her own footwear collection. Her shoes are all hand-made in Italy and
are a perfect blend of quality and femininity.
Charlotte flats (shown above right) feature a ½-inch patent leather wedge heel and crisscrossing
mirrored silver and black patent leather straps across the toe. Perfect for dressing up or down,
they are available through online retailer simplysoles.com
Cheetah print open toe mules shown on Linda’s website www.lindapritcher.com are both pretty
and substantial, shoes you can walk in without breaking a heel and while still looking glamorous
and dainty. Finishing details such as black leather trim, clean stitching, and metallic copper insoles
complete the fine, quality look of the shoe.
On March 8th, Hello Stiletto Boston will enjoy a trunk show of Linda 's Spring and Fall 2008 collections.
For those of you outside Boston interested in seeing or learning more, pictures from the show will be
available on the Hello Stiletto web site within the next few weeks. You can also contact Linda directly

Shoetube: Live Life. Love Shoes.
This month, the most exciting news in footwear is not the footwear itself, it 's a website called
Shoetube! Shoetube.tv is a brand new social networking site, launched February 14th (how sweet),
just for shoe fanatics. Registered shoe lovers can share and view video clips, photos, comments,
questions, articles... basically any and all types of content relating to footwear.
Recent clips include everything from how to walk in high heels to street shots of what people are
wearing in various US cities. Shoetube also brings us fun features from a variety of different shoe
events including the recent World Shoe Association (WSA) trade show in Los Vegas, hot fashion shows,
and even some of Hello Stiletto 's own shoe parties.
Be sure to check it out and register. Not only will registering allow you to participate in shoe
conversations, quizzes, and more, but you can also enter to win free giveaways and shopping sprees.
Just visit www.shoetube.tv (remember it 's .tv not .com!) and click on Register. Warning... it 's very
addictive.

Shoebby Do-Be Do
By Amanda Viciana
In my dream, I open the double doors leading to my gymnasium-sized
shoe closet, perfectly organized by style and color. Once inside, I sit
down on a plush bench designated for trying on my fabulous footwear.
Enrique, my hot European shoe attendant, presents me with a couple of
options to choose from...
The reality is that most of us don 't have an Enrique, and in terms of shoe
storage either have hanging racks over our closet doors or a standing
version of something we cobbled together from Target. While the racks
are fairly okay from an organizing standpoint, they are not so pleasing to
the eye. Worse yet, they only hold a paltry 10-20 pairs of shoes (gasp!).
Or maybe you're guilty of the "bin" approach to storing your shoes,
whereby you have several large tubs filled to the brim with shoes all
squashed on top of one another. Each time you need a pair, you're
frantically digging through the bin like a wild animal to find the match.
I know, there are worse things in life, but wouldn 't it be nice to have some
order to the shoe chaos? Now there is. And it 's affordable too.
Introducing Shoebby - transparent, perfectly sized, affordable shoe
boxes in which to neatly store and stack your shoes. No need to label or
tape a picture to the box to know what 's inside. No need to rifle through
each box looking for the right pair. And no need to look at a mess of
multicolored cardboard shoe boxes in your closet. Enjoy a clean,
organized, uniform looking shoe closet without ever having to flip lids to
see what 's inside. They're sturdy enough to be stacked confidently and
also have a useful handle for making them portable.
Even if you do have a dream closet as mentioned above, Shoebby is
fabulous way to organize each pair within it. I think Enrique would
agree...

J. Rubio puts a spring in your step...literally
Okay, these are just too unusual not to share. J. Rubio has a line of shoes
that feature a visible spring (a big coil) beneath the heel, which serves to
make each step more comfortable as well as give the wearer a
completely unique look. If this looks like your kinda thing, the company
has graciously extended a 10% discount through June 30th for all
purchases on its website www.jrubio.us
I must admit they're not really my cup of tea but I'm all for individuality so
by all means, go forth and buy a pair if they tickle your fancy!
For more fashionable styles scroll down to the bottom of the page and
look for Spanish designs, which feature Swarovski crystals minus the
spring. Comfort meets glamour.

checkout or fax or telephone orders: hellostiletto
